Do you practice yoga?

In our March story “A Yoga Potpourri,” we looked at how the ancient practice of yoga has combined with Western fitness techniques to produce yoga styles suited to every need.

Now it’s your turn. Do you practice yoga? If so, what benefits do you get from it?

We want to know!

  1. LOVE yoga! I exercise, daily, with a variety of programs; walking, running, biking, swimming. And, I end EVERY day with a yoga practice. It relaxes and energizes at the same time. My demeanor is more calm. My thinking is more clear. I'm so much more flexible and happy in my own body:) Truly, try it and see for yourself:)! jculver@wi.rr.com

  2. Jennifer from Chicagoland area--
I have practiced yoga since the late 90s and also have been teaching yoga for about 2 years as a RYT-200.
There are many benefits from yoga that I and my students enjoy such as more flexibility--body and mind, relaxation, range of motion, oxygenated blood flow throughout the body, deep breathing, mindfulness/meditation, mind clarity, and better organ functioning. I incorporate breathing and meditation techniques at the end of each asana practice (poses/postures) for comprehensive hatha yoga.
Check out my website for more details and for classes if you are in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Thanks!
