How do you ensure that your family’s drinking water is safe?

In our July/August story “Water World,” we learned that drinking water may not be as safe as some think it is—even as many people are increasing their water intake for health and well-being.

Now it’s your turn. How do you provide safe drinking water for your family: Bottled? Filtered? Distilled? We want to know!

  1. My mother introduced my sister and I to filters. They are cheaper than buying water bottles and filtered water, and they create less waste. I attached a filter to my sink faucet and to my shower head. My sister uses a filtered water pitcher. Right away, I noticed a difference in the quality and taste of my water.

  2. My family and I have enjoyed distilled water, which we make at home in our own distiller. We have a great countertop model and a 12 gallon for our household. We have been using Waterwise distillers for many-many years and can't live without them. I feel confident that my family is drinking safe, clean water. BTW, we are extremely healthy without illness. I attribute this good fortune to distilled water and eating a healthy diet.

  3. We get our water from our deep well. Our water is clean, safe and has a good taste. (Local agencies provide testing of water.) For short trips we carry a thermos of cold water from home. We have found that bottled water is available in most places. acptuser at hotmail dot com
